I never meant to keep this a secret but there’s SO MUCH to talk about when it comes to skincare! Which is WHY I love blogging! Somehow, this little trick totally slipped my mind until recently. As most of you know, I test out EVERYTHING before I decide to bring it on board. I don’t just test things out for a couple of weeks, I normally give it a good ninety days and have different people do some testing for me as well. This sounds awesome for the typical skincare junkie, right? The downside is, I’m acne prone with rosacea (that’s right, ROSACEA!).

I test out products so you don’t have to! Of course, everyone’s skin is different and people react differently to certain ingredients. However, if I don’t see results that WOW me, or it makes me break out, I move on.
Let’s just say, It was a HUGE “NO” the other day. After testing a couple of products from a luxury green beauty line, my skin didn’t just break out, it freaked out! Breakouts stopped bothering me long ago, but the pigmentation left behind often felt like a set back to the clear complexion I prefer. Pigmentation takes more time to fade than acne takes to control (once you understand WHY you’re breaking out).
My breakout, about TEN friends lingering on my face, was a topic of discussion with most of my clients as they came in shocked to see my face. When they came back about 4-6 weeks later, clients were shocked that the post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIH) was hardly noticeable. Without thinking, I explained why I wasn’t worried about the scars I used to dread so badly. When I scar, I SCAR. The more melanin your skin can create, the more pigmentation you’ll end up with. I don’t worry about this anymore because I have a little ”magic trick…”
Many of you are familiar with Lira’s ProLite serum. It’s one of the best products you can invest in not only if you’re prone to breakouts and pigmentation, but also for rosacea, inflammation, melasma, and sun damage.
ProLite serum evens your skin tone on different levels. This organic brightening serum utilizes anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and advanced redness-reducing ingredients while drawing out hyper-pigmentation. This can dramatically reduce the dark spots in your skin (especially combined with your vitamin A and C products!)
Not only does ProLite assist with and improve your professional treatments, but It’s also the absolute, best way to undo the damage you’ve accumulated in the past years. It brightens, lightens and evens your skin tone with advanced Plant Stem Cell technology from Gooseberry, Sea Fennel, and Mulberry extracts even with the most sensitive skin.
Now, here’s how I use this intended “spot treatment.”
ProLite ALSO has a melanin suppressant, Arbutin, to help keep future hyper-pigmentation at bay! I don’t wait until I have pigmentation, a breakout, or a rosacea flare-up to use my ProLite. I use it at least ONCE a day all over my face and when I have issues with my skin, I amp it up to morning and night until it’s under control. It’s one of the safest products for sensitive, acne and rosacea skin. It calms, soothes, reduces sebum, and diminishes rosacea triggers. My pigmentation doesn’t last long because I’m constantly SUPPRESSING the pigmentation from occurring in the first place. Consider it a “jump start” to brightening your skin. I’m ahead of the game. Throw in Vitamin C and your specific formula of Vitamin A, and Voila! The lightening process is MUCH faster! I use this product year-round to ensure my pigmentation doesn’t creep up on me, therefore, brightening my skin all year round. This is like my “insurance” in case I break out with products I’m testing, have a rosacea flare-up, or if sun damage (God forbid) decides it’s going to creep up.
This product is a treatment and should be one of the first applied to your skin after cleansing. Massage the serum in an upward motion so the product penetrates into your skin rather than hanging on to any facial hair (the thin facial hair we can’t see grabs on to product). For best results, let the ProLite sit on your skin for a couple of minutes before continuing on.
ProLite is a multitasking skin savior! Hope this helps! Let me know if you’re going to try this skin clearing trick! Cheers to even complexions!
Like other people, I have tried many many other products with unsatisfying results. It makes me skeptical about new product but I don’t loose faith and hope for the best. Thank you for all the information provided.
