Society is obsessed with anti-aging. Why? Because everyone sees our skin. It represents us. No one sees our other organs. No one sees our liver (Lucky you 😉). No one sees our gallbladder, and unfortunately, no one sees our heart. But they see our SKIN!
We have direct access to our skin, unlike our other organs, in which we can only access from the inside. Though, anti-aging our skin is directly related to anti-aging our body. With aging in the body, we’re dealing with the same mechanisms as we’re dealing with in regards to skin. We are trying to SLOW DOWN the catabolic rate. We don’t want to be in a negative catabolic state. (Think, anabolism is building up, catabolism is breaking down).
The sum total of anabolism plus catabolism is your metabolism. It’s always going on. However, as we age, we are breaking down more than building up. When the catabolism is superseding the anabolism, this is AGING. We can actually MANAGE this rate. This is called ANTI-AGING 😍 It’s reversing catabolism into anabolism. There are simple ways to do this by combining several factors.
So, what’s wrong with anti-aging? Not a thing. Suddenly, people are taking offense to the word “anti aging.” And, I get it…. I tried to use “Age Management” so I wouldn’t come off “Vain” but the truth is, anti-aging is HEALTHY! This is what helps keep us alive, balanced and happy. There’s an anti-aging phenomenon occurring because we have access to more education and tools to do so.
If your body is breaking down, guess what? Your skin is breaking down. It’s a system. Your skin is your window to the health of your body. Yet, we pay more attention as to whether we’re a size 4 or 8🤔 Take a look at your skin. If you’re net catabolic on your skin, then your insides are net catabolic as well. It’s a system. And it’s a system we need to pay more attention to. “Anti-aging” isn’t offensive. It’s called “HEALTH.” And you can’t fake health like you can’t fake healthy skin.
