I’ve been using the Bio Mineral Mist during Advanced Treatments in my studio. I didn’t realize it’s daily benefits until I incorporated it into my own daily skincare routine.
It’s hard for me to describe this product. It’s more than a traditional “toner.” It’s a cross between a toner and a serum. It’s like giving your skin a huge drink of mineral water while feeding it all it’s vitamins.
Using this product in your daily skincare routine will basically AMP up your routine. The best part, it’s quite inexpensive considering the loaded ingredients.
I had a hard time trying to explain all the skin benefits this mist as to offer. So instead, I broke down the ingredients for you in the order in which they appear in the formula.
There’s no way you’ll read the ingredients and benefits and not want to slather this product all over your body. And for $24.00, you actually CAN afford to!
Critthmum Maritimum Extract AKA Sea Fennel Cell Extract is one of THE best skin care ingredients for anti-aging and over-all skin strength and luster. It’s a natural brightener.
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract: Green tea extract. A botanical ingredient that is naturally rich in antioxidants and other youth enhancing compounds. It reduces redness, inflammation and irritation. It has antibacterial, healing, UV protection properties. It helps to reduce puffy eyes.
Spiraea Ulmaria Flower Extract: Spiraea ulmaria extract, commonly known as meadowsweet, is a plant whose various parts calm factors in skin that lead to signs of irritation. Antioxidant flavonoids and phenolic acids in meadowsweet such as flavonoids rutoside, spiraeoside, and isoquercitrin are believed to be the key contributors to this benefit. Calms redness. This plant extract inhibits an enzyme in skin (5-alpha reductase) that can trigger excess oil production. Therefore, it’s likely to have a noticeable effect on skin’s surface oil for those struggling with oily skin.
Centella Asiatica Extract: Rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids, and numerous potent phytochemicals. They’ve been found to calm inflammation, speed wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, build collagen, and improve circulation.
Leucine: One of the nine essential amino acids. Lysine helps visibly firm skin’s surface by reinforcing its supportive elements.
NOTE: Amino acids are naturally present in skin, as part of what’s called our natural moisturizing factors (NMFs). Within the uppermost layers, amino acids work as conductors, orchestrating a complex “concert” that allows our skin to thrive and stay hydrated.
One of the ways they do this is by working in harmony with aquaporins (the body’s water transport system) to move moisture throughout skin. The amino acids help maintain skin’s smoothness and hydration.
Some amino acids work as antioxidants while others go beyond and play an even greater role by helping skin create more of its own antioxidants, such as glutathione.
They also help strengthen skin’s natural defense system, making it less likely to show signs of aging from environmental damage.
Valine: Another Essential Amino Acid
Tyrosine: Another amino acid complex that functions as a skin-conditioning and brightening agent.
Arginine: Helps protect the skin from free radicals, increase skin hydration, and boost collagen production. Arginine has been shown to also have antioxidant activity. Antioxidants work by neutralizing free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.
Another function of arginine in skin care products is to increase skin hydration by acting as a humectant. A humectant is a substance that often has a molecular structure with several hydrophilic (water-loving) groups. This structure allows humectants to attract and retain the moisture in the air nearby through absorption, drawing the water vapor into or beneath the surface.
Arginine also helps to synthesize components of the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), such as ceramides, cholesterol, urea, and glycosaminoglycans.
Lysine: An essential Amino Acid that helps visibly firm skin’s surface by reinforcing its supportive elements.
Sodium Citrate: Balances the pH levels in the skin.
Citric Acid: Used to adjust the pH of products to prevent them from being too alkaline. (Super Important!) NOT to be confused with a high percentage to exfoliate.
Pomegranate Extract: A powerful fruit rich in polyphenols like anthocyains, ellagic acid, and many other plant polyphenols. Effective in detoxing the skin of free radicals while also repairing skin that could have been damaged from environmental factors like UV radiation.
Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract: Acai is an anti-aging warrior! It’s rich in antioxidants and loaded with other nutrients. All of this will keep your skin happy, healthy, and vibrant.
It provides the building blocks of healthy skin. Vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, such as anthocyanins, flavonoids, vitamins and minerals.
Açaí also contains Fatty acids. Rich in omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. These help skin appear youthful and supple and revive the look of dry, dull skin. If you’re getting enough, your skin looks smooth and soft. If you’re not, skin dries out, sags, and becomes dull.
Caprylyl Glycol: Softens skin, moisturizes by preventing water loss, draws moisture to the skin and fights germs and pathogens.
Glycerin: Helps shield skin from environmental sources of irritation. Works with emollients and oils to make dry skin feel soft and supple. Fortifies and strengthens skin’s moisture barrier. Enhances the penetration of other ingredients into skin’s uppermost layers. Improves skin’s resiliency and youthful look.
Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture: Apple stem cells from a rare Swiss apple that helps your skin act and look younger while containing phospholipids that nourish the face while smoothing out the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
Leontopodium Alpinum Meristem Cell Culture: Powerful antioxidant that exhibits skin rejuvenating properties including helping reduce fine lines. Inhibits collagenase and hyaluronidase to limit hyaluronic acid degradation and skin firmness loss. Contains cell protective properties.
Lecithin: An emulsifying skin emollient and conditioning agent. It is also used to help in the absorption of active ingredients.
Gold: An antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Calms acne inflammation, reduces skin redness and protects against free radicals that lead to wrinkles and sun damage.
Collodion Silver: Triggers an amazing unexpected regrowth of tissues, helping the skin repair itself. Enhances the healing of damaged skin tissue. Skin repairing and bacteria killing properties makes it a beloved treatment for many skin conditions.
Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract: The antibacterial properties make it beneficial for the treatment of acne. Helps cleanse your skin reducing the occurrence of pimples. Vanilla is rich in antioxidants which prevent and reverse skin damage caused by free radicals. It also helps to slow down signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. Heals and soothes burns.
If you’ve made it this far, you’ll understand why this product is amazing! You’ll be hydrating, healing, protecting, regulating oil production, repairing, balancing your pH, all while enhancing other products applied.
